The tagging system in the Absencelist serves as an effective tool for structuring and displaying important information about employees. With the help of tags, you can easily create and associate custom labels with individuals, facilitating filtering, searching, and providing a clear overview directly in the schedule.
The tags can be customized to meet various needs, such as categorizing users based on specific attributes, roles, or permissions. Customization options include support for custom names, color coding, and descriptive texts, which help users understand the purpose and functionality of the tag when hovering the mouse pointer over it.
By being able to filter and search using multiple tags simultaneously, you can quickly identify key individuals and groups within the organization. This makes it easier to maintain an overview and focus on the right resources as needed.
- Custom Tags: Create tags with a name (max 50 characters), color, and text (max 200 characters).
- Clear Overview: Tags are clearly displayed in the left column of the schedule for each individual.
- Search and Filter: Filter by one or more tags in the schedule to display key individuals.
- Unlimited tags: Create and associate tags with an unlimited number of people in the account.
Tags can only be created and managed by administrators or the account owner. You can choose between two ways to create tags, depending on whether you want to link the tag directly to a person or just add it to the service.
- To create and link a tag directly to a person, do this through the person's user profile.
- If you only want to create one or more tags without linking them directly, do this under Settings > Tags.
- The name of the tag must be unique—duplicates of the same tag cannot be created.
Via User Profile
- Click on the person in the schedule or under the user page to open their profile.
- In the user profile, click on the tags field and enter the name of the new tag.
- Select a unique name for the tag from the dropdown list that appears.
- Customize the tag by choosing a color and adding a descriptive text if desired.
- Click "Save" to create and link the tag to the selected person.
- Go to Settings > Tags.
- Enter a unique name for the tag, select a color, and optionally add a descriptive text.
- Click "Add" to create the tag.
- The new tag can now be linked to a person via their user profile.
To link tags to your own or others' user profiles, do this through the user profile.
Go to "My Settings" to manage and customize your own tags, or follow the instructions below.
- Navigate to the schedule or user list in the service.
- Click on a person to edit their user information.
- Under the "Tags" section, click on the field to display a list of current tags.
- Select one or more tags to link to the person. A checkmark will appear next to the tag's name when it is selected.
- To unlink the tag, click on it again.
- Click "Save" to confirm the changes.
- Search for Tags: Filter the list by entering the tag name in the search field.
- Edit Tags: Click "Edit" to update the name, color, or description.
- Delete Tags: Click "Remove" to delete the tag. Linked tags cannot be deleted.
