Emails are often marked as junk or fail to reach internal recipients altogether.
This is usually because your own email system does not allow external senders to send emails to you using your domain.
This is a protection against forged emails.
The most common reason is the absence of an SPF record, or that the domain's SPF does not include authorization for Lega Online.
What is SPF
SPF (Sender Policy Framework) is a way to verify and allow other email systems to send messages using your domain. The server receiving the message checks if there is an SPF record for, in this case, Lega Online. If there isn’t, the message will most likely be classified as spam.
This is also often necessary if you have a website that needs to send emails on your behalf, such as order confirmations.
Outlook 365/Outlook.com always requires an SPF setup, while other email systems may be more forgiving.
How to set up SPF
How to set up an SPF record can vary between different email providers.
If you're unsure how to proceed, we recommend contacting your email provider for assistance.
Lega Onlines SPF is spf.multinet.com
For example: TXT v=spf1 mx include:outlook.com include:spf.multinet.com ~all
You need to set up SPF with an "include:". In other words, our SPF domain does not have an A record (a:).
The "include" directive tells the system to fetch the SPF record from that domain and include all IP addresses from there in your own SPF record.
To verify that the SPF is set up correctly, you can go to http://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx.
In the "Lookup anything..." field, enter spf:yourdomain.com.
It should indicate that multinet.se is also included.
Note that it may take up to 48 hours for Outlook.com to register that you have added an SPF for Lega Online.
